Field Guide to Scorpions of Namibia

Scorpions are a gateway to appreciate biodiversity. They glow in the dark, they're scary, and they sting! But they're also fascinating. Finding them at night with UV light is thrilling for adults and children alike, an opportunity to witness their fascinating behaviour, to dispel fear through education, to promote responsible engagement with wild animals large and small, and to build an appreciation for the wonders of nature.

Scorpions are an integral part of the Namibian experience for residents and visitors alike, with nearly 70 species recorded for the country. There is no comprehensive identification guide for scorpions found in Namibia at present. Building on the success of Scorpions of South Africa, I hope to produce such a guide.

Sponsorship is needed to cover travel, accommodation and equipment costs to photograph Namibia's scorpions and their habitats, and fill the gap.
